Viminaria juncea
Golden Spray

A slender erect bright green weeping shrub, with adult leaves reduced to wiry leaf stalks and long drooping sprays of yellow-orange pea flowers with red markings from October to February. It grows 2-5 metres tall and is common on poorly drained soils near the coast and in ripariana and swampy scrub. This shrub is a fast growing attractive plant for moist areas in full sun or semi shade, tolerates salt and lime and adaptable to drier conditions if it receives summer watering. It is an excellent substitute for introduced broom species.
