This hardy sedge has clumping strappy green-yellow leaves on rigid stems with brown flowers that rise above the foliage from September to February that grows to one metre tall. This sedge is ideal for mass planting around ponds and in coastal landscapes as it provides sand stabilisation. It can be planted in full sun to part shade conditions, tolerates drought and provides valuable habitat and food sources for native birds, butterflies, mammals and reptiles.
