A showy West Australian groundcover that grows 0.2 to 0.5 metres tall with ornamental serrated bluish green leaves. this groundcover displays upright, showy cylindrical flowers that range is colour from dusky pink or red, cream, rusty orange and brown in spring. The new growth of this plant is covered in hairs that gives it a be dusky pink, red or rust coloured appearance. It grows best in full but will tolerate dappled shade and prefers sandy or other well drained soil. This groundcover is low maintenance and attracts both birds and insects for food source and habitat. It is suited to growing around the base of more upright shrubs, on an enbankment or creeping over a retaining wall to display the flowers and can also be grown in large containers.
