A clump forming plant with strappy dark yellow-green leaves that grows to 50cm tall. The flower spikes are much shorter that the foliage with 2-9 mid to dark blue or violet flowers from October to December followed by round blue berries in summer. It grows best in full sun to part shade in well drained clay to sandy soil and can tolerate some salt spray. This hardy plant is an excellent choice for low level planting in difficult dry areas.
